Rubén Grilo is an artist who uses a diversity of media such sculpture, animation, and sound to explore our complex relationship with technology, even at the risk of not making art at all.
The Laser Works #30, #28, #25, #24 are asemic scribbles of light projected into space. First drawn by hand, then digitized and reproduced in a sequence at a high speed, they appear throughout the exhibition, inviting us to resolve a form that continually resists meaning, like descendants of weeds consciously delighting in their own ferality.
